The PAL-RT palletizing unit uses an ABB IRB660 anthropomorphic robot, with different gripping systems depending on the use (vacuum, pneumatic gripper, motorized gripper), capable of making single or multiple grips and the relative deposit.
It is also possible through the use of dedicated options to manage the picking and storage of interlayers and pallets.
The stacks of pallets are deposited on an infeed roller conveyor, which transports them to the picking area by the robot. The picking and placing of the individual pallets is entrusted to the robot gripping head. For pallet heights greater than 2.5 meters, the filling roller conveyor is mounted on a pantograph platform.
Once the pallet has been formed, it is sent to the exit or to the wrapper if present. Hazardous areas that are not protected by physical safety fences are constantly monitored by safety light curtains with muting function.
